I like to let you know where Im published each month not to brag, but to let you know you can also be doing it. To let you know that if you dont quit and you keep going, you will succeed! This month I earned a total of $330, and all of these pieces were written long ago. I would say thats a nice little residual income on pieces I had written months to years ago that still sell from month to month while I have time to focus on writing brand new pieces! Give it a try!

Vector Sales Earnings in June July and August 2012

Vector sales has been amazing all the way until the last 3 months. Shutterstock has the biggest drop in sales compared to the rest. Many big contributors have been reporting a loss of 30% to 50% at Shutterstock. Other agencies fluctuated, but are still consistent and bearable, except Dreamstime.

In the last 3 months, I had failed to reach a payout ($100) at Dreamstime. This never happened in the last 2 years. The sales at Dreamstime is very disappointing with a lot of subscription sales ($0.35) and hardly any on-demand sales.

Other agencies such as DepositPhotos, CanStockPhoto, GraphicRiver, 123rf are all doing fine with little fallback. I hope they rise further.

iStockPhoto maintains its usual trend although I did not upload much there. This shows that iStockPhoto is consistent and sustainable. The sales is hard to improve, though.

Just like iStockPhoto, Fotolia remains strong, but again, I do not see major improvement despite heavy upload. The Enhanced License purchase at Fotolia is getting rare and almost unseen these days.

I believe the biggest reason for drop in sales (especially in Shutterstock) are due to summer holiday, Euro Cup, and Olympics. Many have complain that Shutterstock screws up its search algorithm making it difficult for buyers to purchase. I do not believe this is true. Looking at the site analytic from compete.com, Shutterstock traffic is dropping dramatically.

Summer holiday is ending soon, and I hope the slowdown is over. We should be seeing major improvement from September and onward. However, if no improvement can be seen at Shutterstock, then we could have a big problem.

The big problem may caused by competition from sites such as DepositPhotos, Fotolia, and ThinkStock which are currently promoting their subscription model heavily.

August 2015 Awesome Online Income Writing Proofreading

Lets get some things out of the way before I show you my rockin infographic I made on the FREE site canva.com.

WHO am I?
I am the homeschooling mom of 5 kids and wife to Aron. I graduated from community college at the age of 28 with a 2-year Associate of Arts general degree. My work background: waitress, hostess, secretary, office manager at various places. I got many opportunities to learn how to proofread but have no formal training in writing, social media or direct sales. I quit my job in 2001 to stay home with my first son and never went back to work in an office.

WHAT do I do?
Im a blogger, author of books, writer of regional parenting magazine articles, social media maven, proofreader, Jamberry consultant and Younique presenter.

Why I am sharing my income?
I like to show what can be done. I am able to fit in at least 20 working hours per week and usually more while homeschooling my kids, loving on my husband and taking the kids places to have fun (pool, sports, field trips, co-op, playdates, trips, etc.). I am not sharing this to brag or because I think I rock. I am sharing so you know that someone with no English degree can be a writer and a proofreader and make a decent income.

I recently decided to focus on just six main areas of income, as opposed to the way I used to do it, making pennies here and there in way too many online places. Diversification is still very important to online income for me, but by focusing on six areas, balls are not getting dropped and my time is more focused.

** I call Younique and Jamberry income "online" because I dont do vendor events or home parties.

The dollar amounts I show are what I actually RECEIVED in my hot little hand or PayPal account, not what I EARNED because things show up at different times and take different amounts of time to come around. Some months I may have a lot of articles in publications but dont show much income ... thats because checks will often show up later and many at one time.

AMAZING August 2013 Income and Sources

August was not too shabby, weighing in at a whopping $2,081.44 (if I could do that every month, that translates into about $25,000 per year working part-time from home).


Here were Aprils numbers, and then Mays numbers. Then here are Junes numbers, and you can see Im increasing my income every month. July was amazing but not as good as August!

It is once again awesome to be able to make this much money from home while also being able to go to the pool with the kids every day! This month we were able to get a lawnmower when ours broke down and are spending quite a bit of money on remodeling our living/dining rooms with hardwood floors and paint so we can maybe move to the country sometime!

1. Fiverr. I received $1,224 here in August. The majority of my income is from proofreading when my kids sleep, but I also have gigs for promoting things via my social media outlets. I outsourced some jobs this month, and the amount takes that into account  and does not count it as income for me (about $187 outsourced).

2. Bubblews. $303.02. Just click on the word Bubblews and you can sign up using my referral link. This is basically a blogging site that you can read more about here. Anyone can join.

3. Regional Parenting Magazine articles, new and reprint: $205. That would be thanks to this little gem.

4. General blogging for sites not my own. $57

5. PostLoop. $12.94. Im going to send you here because I have a lot of information on this and it needed its own post. 8. BlogHer ads income from 3 tweeting campaigns plus one month of ads on my main blog: $159.02

9. Ebooks! $12.20. Im only on Amazon now with Make Money to Write About Your Kids and The Tater Tot Casserole Cookbook. You do not need a Kindle to buy these! You can also load them onto your smartphone using their new Kindle app!

10. MyLikes.com $3.26. This is a site where you find something you think your social media peeps or Facebook friends might like and then post it. Depending on who clicks, you get a few cents. They pay out weekly. I tried it just for fun and head back there every now and then.
